See what attackers can learn about your workforce before they ever make contact.

Before launching a social engineering campaign, attackers research the people inside an organization, looking for information that can help them identify valuable targets, understand their relationships and responsibilities, and develop effective pretexts.

In this Cybersecurity Awareness Month webinar, Paul Mander, Chief Commercial Officer and General Manager of Optery for Business, will be joined by Manit Sahib, Founder and CEO of Cytadel, for a practical, attacker-focused conversation about how exposed personal and professional information can be used to target employees and gain access to organizations.

Drawing on Manit’s experience in red teaming, OSINT, and social engineering, they will examine what attackers look for during reconnaissance, how data broker and people-search site information compares with social media and other online sources, and what security teams can do to make their employees and organizations more difficult to target.

The webinar covers:

  • What attackers look for during workforce reconnaissance
  • What makes data broker information especially useful for identifying and prioritizing targets
  • How attackers combine personal and professional details to develop effective pretexts
  • Which roles and relationships offer attackers useful paths into an organization
  • How AI is changing the speed, scale, and sophistication of social engineering
  • What security teams can do to disrupt reconnaissance and make their organizations more difficult to target

Paul Mander is the Chief Commercial Officer and General Manager of Optery for Business.

Drawing on extensive experience in data-driven marketing and the data broker industry, Paul brings a distinct perspective to how exposed employee information becomes useful to attackers.

At Optery, he and his team help security and IT teams find and remove exposed employee personal information from data broker and people-search sites to prevent phishing, smishing, vishing, account takeover, and other cyber and physical threats.

Manit Sahib is the Founder and CEO of Cytadel, an offensive security expert, and an ethical hacker.

At the Bank of England, Manit led penetration testing and red teaming and contributed to CBEST, the first regulator-led framework for intelligence-driven red teaming of financial institutions. CBEST went on to provide the foundation for TIBER-EU and, later, DORA’s threat-led penetration testing regime.

Manit later led offensive security operations at a United Nations agency and conducted red teaming across banking, insurance, and critical infrastructure before founding Cytadel, where AI-enhanced red teaming is a core focus.
