Forward Edge Launches Fully Free Cyber1000 Program to Open Cybersecurity Access to 1,000 Learners

Forward Edge Consulting has launched Cyber1000, a free, fully sponsored foundational cybersecurity program that provides 1,000 participants with access to its Bootcamp 5.0 curriculum.

Cyber1000 is designed to address a major gap in cybersecurity education: the lack of clear, beginner-friendly entry points. While interest in cybersecurity continues to rise, many aspiring learners struggle due to unclear learning paths and premature specialisation.

Unlike programs that rush participants into tools or job roles, Cyber1000 focuses on core foundations, including operating systems, networking fundamentals, cryptography basics, command-line environments, and hands-on practical learning. The goal is to build clarity, confidence, and long-term understanding before specialisation.

Speaking on the initiative, Moyosore Kukoyi, Founder and CEO of Forward Edge Consulting, said:

“Many people leave cybersecurity not because they lack ability, but because they never had a clear starting point. Cyber1000 was created to give people the foundations they need to truly understand the field before choosing a path.”

The program is fully sponsored to widen access for students, career switchers, self-taught learners, and individuals with little or no technical background.

Cyber1000 reflects Forward Edge’s broader commitment to sustainable cybersecurity capacity building, digital resilience, and inclusive access to skills development across Africa and beyond.

Applications are now open.
