The Federal Government of Nigerian says it will introduce regulated internet access for children below sixteen to protect them from online dangers.
Education Minister Maruf Tunji Alausa announced the plan during the launch of a programme that gives students free access to educational websites
He said the measure will help shield children from cyberattacks and harmful content while supporting Nigeria’s digital learning goals.
Alausa added that children’s safety must remain a priority as the country expands online education.
