JOHANNESBURG – The Information Regulator is demanding more details on the cyberattack, that devastated the National Health Laboratory Service IT system.
This ransomware attack happened in June 2024.
The NHLS admitted that its IT service was not up to date at the time.
Alison Tilley from the Information Regulator says what they have discovered so far is that there was an extortion syndicate that got access to the NHLS’s database.
